Cafe Autistique to talk about special interests next month

Our monthly autistic-led Cafe Autistique discussion group will be talking about the topic of special interests this November. The group aims to look at what it is that make special interests so appealing to autistic people, why they are important and how useful they are for such things as relaxation.

This blog post on The Mighty explains why special interests are important to some autistic people: https://themighty.com/2017/06/special-interests-autism-spectrum/. The topic was requested by people who came to October’s Cafe Autistique discussion group.

When and where?

Next month’s group will meet on Tuesday 26th November from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. It will be at the Lovell Autism Hub, which is at this address:

Lovell Park Hub
Wintoun Street
Leeds
LS7 1DA

You can find maps and directions on the Lovell Autism Hub page on our website.

Cafe Autistique is open to autistic adults living in the Leeds City Council area. It is completely free to attend, plus refreshments will be provided should you need them.
