Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, we have been looking at running some of our autistic-led groups that would have taken place at the Lovell Autism Hub online. Now, we are running a few regular groups via Zoom and Discord. Here are the groups and some details on what they are all about:
Peer Support Group
This group acts as a check-in/social space where you can meet other autistic adults in Leeds and share experiences. It runs on the first and third Tuesday of every month on Zoom from 6pm to 7pm.
This is an online version of the Women’s Group we would normally run at the Hub. It is led by two autistic women – one a staff member and the other a member of our Steering Group. It runs on Zoom on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
This group will be run on the Discord app. The group runs on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 5pm to 6pm at the moment.
Starting in September 2020, we are running a monthly group where autistic adults can have their say on work that the AIM team has done and suggest improvements. It meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 5:30pm-7pm. Visit the Coproduction Group page for more information.
Carers Group – now online
Carers Leeds are running their monthly group for parents, carers and partners of autistic adults in Leeds (aged 16+) online. They meet on the third Thursday of every month from 1:30pm-2:30pm. To join, please email Elaine at Elaine.Wilkes@carersleeds.org.uk.
